CFO/Controller Role – Microbest, Inc.
I. THE OPPORTUNITIY
Microbest, Inc., a successful, highly specialized precision machined components and assemblies provider, is looking for a seasoned, operational finance executive with extensive experience in manufacturing environments to play a key role on its executive team – www.microbest.com.
II. THE POSITION
This role serves both as the senior corporate finance executive in addition to the key interface on financial issues with the investor group. The position is responsible for providing incisive insight and metrics on past performance. There is also a responsibility to provide forward-looking information and forecasts to all relevant stakeholders. The individual will be a true partner to the CEO and will play a key role on the executive team. This position reports directly to the President & CEO.
The individual is expected to prepare monthly financial statements, analyze costs by product line, prepare job costing and estimating analysis for new and existing products, total costs analysis, budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure analysis, new business opportunities,acquisition analysis and strategic support.
Specific Mandates Include:
• Expected to know the numbers and details behind all metrics.
• Leads the accounting/finance function for the Company.
• Support the management team and department heads with in-depth financial and business analysis.
• Identifies opportunities for increased profitability by improving job costing.
• Accountable for making recommendations for continuous improvement in company
operations.
• Provides CEO and investors with requisite reporting including detailed metrics related to
cash, sales, and monthly reporting summary covering a full breakdown of business
results and future opportunities.
• Prepares and reviews the monthly closing.
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
• Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting,
and operating plans.
• Work with senior management to analyze current and past trends with key performance
indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital
expenditures, and ensures the management team has all financial information needed
for decision-making.
• Provides counsel on financial considerations for both existing and new initiatives.
• Ensures strong financial controls are in place and that the company is in compliance
with financial and taxation regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate year-end audit and business tax return with outside audit firm.
• Manages IT and drives strategic decisions and implementations of business systems.
• Possesses attention to detail, hands on management style with strong communication
skills.
• Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of
unexpected variance.

The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get the job done and is excited to help transform and professionalize a business.
• B.S. in Accounting of Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment essential, including job costing.
• Experience with ERP system implementations desirable.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and PC applications, extremely strong Excel skills required.
• Operational orientation is key.

Machine Technician - 2nd and 3rd shift
This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment according to safety and production systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Performing highly diversified duties to keep machines running production
- Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Performing simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required production
- Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Detecting and reporting faulty operations, defective materials and any unusual situations to proper supervisory personnel
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas
- Helping/supervising operators when needed
